The intent is to engage a suitably qualified contractor to deliver a high-quality, safe, and durable recreational facility that responds to local climatic conditions, community needs, and relevant regulatory and safety standards. Works are to be completed in accordance with approved design documentation, applicable guidelines, and best-practice construction methods. Background information / Compatibility requirements The works comprise the construction of a community water splash play facility at the existing Woorabinda Swimming Pool, including demolition of the existing paddling pool, construction of a zero-depth splash pad, installation of associated hydraulic, electrical and civil infrastructure, and provision of supporting amenities and shade structures. The works include, but are not limited to: • Demolition of existing wading pool and site preparation; • Engineering design of splash pad including associated plumbing connections • Civil, structural, hydraulic and electrical works; • Construction of splash pad and associated infrastructure; • Installation of plant room and water systems; • Installation of water play equipment to be supplied by WASC • Landscaping, shade structures and site amenities; • Testing, commissioning and handover.
