Overview SALHN is seeking to establish a panel of suitably qualified Artificial Limbs Prosthetic Service Providers to deliver comprehensive prosthetic assessment, prescription, fabrication, fitting and maintenance to eligible consumers across metropolitan and regional South Australia. About The Artificial Limb Scheme is a Government Scheme available to eligible Australian residents. In South Australia it is administered by the South Australian Amputee Limb Service (SAALS). South Australian residents aged 65 years and older have access to a number of different funding schemes to access their prosthesis. As the majority of amputations are due to contributing medical conditions such as diabetes, vascular disease or cancer, the prosthesis will generally be funded through the public health system via SAALS.
