The City of Marion is seeking qualified and experienced Contractor/s to design and construct the installation of Council supplied HDPE high pressure pipe, and associated works, in accordance with Part B Specification and relating tender documentation. Scope: The City of Marion is seeking a qualified and experienced Contractor(s) to design and construct the installation (only) of Council supplied HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) high pressure pipe, and associated works. Council seeks a Contractor to install several mainline pressurised HDPE pipeline extensions for Council’s Water Business. The Works are apportioned into 3 Portions (as per Appendix 1- Recycled Water Pipework Extension Map): • Portion 1; Directionally drilled pipeline extension (Design & Construct), from Marion Golf club to Cove Soccer (new tank)/BMX and CoM Southern Depot, on Majors Road under roads to gain access to end supply points • Portion 2; Extension in National Park (sections between directional drilled ends of extension). Methodology to be determined by Contractor. Site meetings deemed by Council to be mandatory. • Portion 3; Directionally drilled pipeline Extension (Design & Construct), from southern mainline to Scarborough, Branksome and Harbrow Reserves both in Dover Gardens The design aspect focuses on the service location required by the Contractor to ensure no services are compromised during the installation of the pipe, and the Contractor will wear all risk of design and construct proposal during the optimisation of actual alignment and avoiding services etc. Council has procured the pipe direct from the suppliers through a separate market process. This decision was made to reduce the risk of supply and cost escalation due to external global influences and market volatility. The pricing schedule reflects that this is an installation of pipe tender. However, all other materials required such as access chambers, isolation valves, air valves, elbows and bends are to be included in the price per metre rate or priced as per item description in the pricing schedule. Council reserves the right to award one or more of the portions to one or more contractors. The Project will see installation from Oaklands Wetlands Network Extension, Marion Golf Club to Majors Road Soccer and other sites in the City of Marion. Attendance at the Tender Briefing and Site Inspection is strongly recommended. RSVP required by 12pm Tuesday 9th June. A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
