Pondi Play Precinct - Murray Bridge

Overview The Rural City of Murray Bridge is preparing to deliver the Pondi Playspace Development at Sturt Reserve, a major investment in community and tourism infrastructure. The project will transform the existing playground into a landmark destination inspired by Ngarrindjeri culture, creating an inclusive, accessible and nationally significant play space for residents and visitors alike. Scope The scope of works includes: Site preparation and earthworks Installation of below-ground infrastructure and services (stormwater, hydraulic, electrical and lighting conduits) Construction of access paths, paved areas and supporting site infrastructure Supply and installation of play equipment, including signature and nature-based elements Provision of accessible (DDA-compliant) play components Installation of supporting infrastructure including shade structures, seating, bins, BBQs and drinking fountains Delivery of an outdoor learning / gathering space Installation of lighting and soundscape elements Landscaping works, including planting and site finishes Integration of cultural and interpretive elements reflecting Ngarrindjeri heritage The works will be undertaken within an operational public environment and will require careful planning and execution to maintain public safety at all times, manage access and interface with existing park users, and minimise disruption to surrounding areas and infrastructure. Contractor Requirements Council recognises that a project of this scale will require a Tier 1 tenderer to deliver the project in its entirety Instructions to Tenderers Council values the role that local and First Nations companies could play in supporting delivery of the project and enhancing the local economy. A pre-emptive expression of interest was undertaken locally, and the details and capability summaries of businesses who responded to Council are made available to tenderers within the SA Tenders portal. Businesses have been advised that the EOI is intended to provide visibility of local capability to prospective tenderers, and that any appointment or inclusion in any main bid is entirely at tenderers' discretion.
