Overview District Council of Loxton Waikerie invites tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of civil works for the supply and installation of a wastewater system at the Waikerie Institute, 2 White Street, Waikerie. Scope The plumbing upgrade for wastewater provisions at the Waikerie Institute is to be carried out in conjunction with the engineer's report and recommendation. The scope includes: Upgrade of the existing septic tank of the McCoy Street toilets, as the septic system will be shared between both buildings Removal and reinstatement of pavers in the area proposed for the new septic tank, replicating the existing pavers in McCoy Street Cutting and removing bitumen and trenching down the alleyway for the proposed location of the grease arrestor and pumping chamber between the Institute and the Post Office, and reinstating the bitumen once completed Removal and reinstatement of the fence between the Post Office and the public toilets and Institute, subject to Council obtaining permission from the Post Office to access their carpark for excavator use Excavation for the new septic tank, including shoring as required Installation of the new septic tank, trenching and plumbing of drainage from the public toilets, leaving a connection point for pumped waste from the Institute Pumping out of the old septic tank, and trenching and connecting effluent to the new septic tank Backfilling of the septic tank with darrafil as per the engineer's report Demolition of the existing structure in the proposed location of the grease arrestor, installation of the grease arrestor and pumping chamber, and construction of a new structure to secure the area around them Upgrade of stormwater drainage from the building on the Post Office side of the Institute to White Street in a common trench, including lifting of pavers as required to access the stormwater sump Plumbing of the pumped waste line, SA Water supply, and stormwater pipe in a common trench Reinstatement of any damage caused to the Post Office carpark Tender Briefing and Site Inspection Date: 16 September 2026 Time: 11:00 am Location: 2 White Street, Waikerie, SA, Australia, 5330 Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
