ATN - Head Contactor Digital Hub

Overview TAFE Gippsland is seeking a suitably qualified construction firm to act as Head Contractor for the Digital Hub at its Morwell Campus. This is an Advanced Tender Notice. It is not the actual tender and no documentation is to be provided at this stage. About In the budget announcement on 23 April 2026, the Victorian Government committed to a $15 million investment to build a new Renewable Energy Digital Training and Community Centre that will become a hub for education, research and industry. The estimated completion date is end of Q4 2028. The Centre will be a key component of the Victorian TAFE Network's Renewable Energy Centre of Excellence, anchored to the TAFE Gippsland Morwell Campus and the Latrobe Valley Energy precinct. The Centre will be visually and functionally integrated with existing TAFE Gippsland facilities, including the new Clean Energy Centre and the Gippsland Tech School, as well as the Federation University Morwell Innovation Centre (MIC) building, through connected pathways and shared infrastructure. Scope The scope includes: Overall delivery of the construction works for the Digital Hub Site management and supervision of subcontractors Coordination of suppliers Management of safety and quality requirements Delivery of the project in accordance with the approved design, specifications, budget, and program Coordination with TAFE Gippsland and project consultants to ensure efficient and successful completion of the project Contractor Requirements Mandatory experience delivering similar projects amounting to $10m total project value or more Experience in TAFE and tertiary education environments Experience under either a Traditional Construct only or a Design and Construct contract model Instructions to Tenderers TAFE Gippsland intends to release an Expression of Interest on 29 March 2027 via the Buying for Victoria Tenders Portal. Head Contractors meeting the mandatory experience requirements are invited to participate in the Request for Tender process. TAFE Gippsland intends to release a Request for Tender on 15 May 2027. The tender process will be a selective tender as defined within the tender documents, conducted as a multi-stage process: Expression of Interest followed by a Select Request for Tender.
