About this tender

Overview TAFE Gippsland (TG) is seeking a suitably qualified supplier for the role of Principal Design and Architectural Consultant for the Digital Hub, Morwell Campus. This is an Advance Tender Notice. It is not the actual tender and no documentation is to be provided at this stage. About TAFE Gippsland is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 0417) accredited to deliver Vocational Education and Training and is a non-school provider of Senior Secondary Education in Victoria. As the largest government-funded vocational educator in the region, TAFE Gippsland delivers training to more than 10,000 students at 13 campuses across nine locations, stretching from Warragul to Lakes Entrance. Further details on TAFE Gippsland can be obtained from the website at https://www.tafegippsland.edu.au/ Purpose In the budget announcement of April 2026, the Victorian Government committed to a $15 million investment to build a new Renewable Energy Digital Training and Community Centre that will become a hub for education, research and industry. The estimated completion date is end of Q4 2028. The Centre will be a key component of the Victorian TAFE Network's Renewable Energy Centre of Excellence, anchored to the TAFE Gippsland Morwell Campus and the Latrobe Valley Energy precinct. The Centre will be visually and functionally integrated with existing TAFE Gippsland facilities, including the new Clean Energy Centre and the Gippsland Tech School, as well as the Federation University Morwell Innovation Centre (MIC) building, through connected pathways and shared infrastructure. Scope The scope includes: Developing the project design for the Digital Hub, Morwell Campus, and progressing it through to the construction phase Leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team of specialist consultants throughout the design and delivery phases of the project Ensuring the design is fully developed, integrated, and ready for construction Contractor Requirements Mandatory experience delivering similar projects of $15m total project value Experience in TAFE and tertiary education environments Experience under a Design and Construct (D&C) contract model Instructions to Tenderers TG intends to release an Expression of Interest on 10 August 2026 via the Buying for Victoria Tenders Portal. Principal Design and Architectural Consultants with mandatory experience delivering similar projects of $15m total project value, in TAFE and tertiary education environments, under a D&C contract model, are invited to participate in the Request for Tender. TG intends to release a Request for Tender on 21 September 2026. The tender process will be a selective tender as defined within the tender documents.
