About this tender

Mildura Rural City Council is seeking tender responses from contractors to undertake the design development, fabrication and installation of this custom play element, ensuring that it delivers high play value, safety, durability and compliance with relevant standards. The procurement is structured to allow for early contractor engagement and design resolution, with defined hold points for Council review and approval of the initial design, spatial footprint, safety envelopes and engineering details prior to progression to fabrication. Delivery of the works will occur in coordination with a separately procured lead contractor responsible for the main play space construction works, who will manage site establishment, program integration, access and WHS. The successful Supplier will be required to coordinate closely with the lead contractor to ensure seamless integration of the Paddle Steamer and ropes course into the broader project. ENQUIRIES: Any tender enquiries should be directed to the online forum SUBMISSIONS: Completed responses can ONLY be submitted electronically by uploading into the System. Respondents will receive a confirmation email response upon completion. Should assistance be required please use the help function or the online chat available from the home page. Submissions must be fully received by the closing time as late submissions will not be accepted. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. All responses must be made by online submission. Any response made by any other means (open email, facsimile, post or in person) will not be considered.

How to respond to this tender

A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.

Read the requirements in full

Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.

Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding

Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.

Answer every criterion with evidence

Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.

Lodge early through the official portal

Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
