About this tender

Overview Merri-bek City Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors for RFT-2026-26: Construction of Raised Wombat Crossings on West Street, Hadfield. Scope The works generally comprise: Demolition and removal of existing kerb and channel (including layback), footpath and pram crossings Road pavement excavation, profiling, reconstruction and resheeting Construction of new concrete kerb and channel (barrier and semi-mountable profiles), kerb layback, and standalone concrete barrier kerb, as scheduled at each site Construction of concrete flat-top pedestrian platforms and asphalt approach/departure ramps at the raised crossing sites (Ila Street, Truscott Street, Newton Street) Construction of asphalt speed cushions at the pram crossing sites (Caldwell Street, Glenfern Place, Freeman Drive) Reconstruction of concrete footpaths and pram crossings, and installation of tactile ground surface indicators (TGSI) Construction, conversion and adjustment of drainage pits and pipes, and renewal of house drains Adjustment of existing services, including Telstra pit lids, water authority stop valves and fire hydrants Linemarking (zebra crossings, piano keys, give-way and stop lines, RRPMs) and signage (new and reinstated) Nature strip reinstatement All ancillary traffic management, environmental management and site establishment works Instructions to Tenderers All communications related to this RFT must be submitted via the communication tab.
