Gravel & Concrete Crushing - Panel of Suppliers

Yarriambiack Shire Council is seeking to appoint a panel of suppliers who are appropriately experienced to provide the following services as required across the Shire: Gravel Crushing at Quarries (northern end of Shire) Concrete Crushing at Transfer Stations (Warracknabeal, Hopetoun and Murtoa) Tenderers may lodge a submission for one, or both of the required services (the schedule of rates will allow pricing for each of the services). Works under this Contract are not guaranteed and will be on an “as required” basis. Scope of Works Gravel Crushing (Quarries) Win, raise, crush and stockpiling of gravel services at two gravel pits located within the northern area of the Yarriambiack Shire. Insitu gravel will be won and mixed with a bulldozer (Equivalent to a CAT D8 or D9) prior to crushing; direct excavation with an excavator will not be allowed. Rip and raise source rock from nominated area to produce Non-Descript Crushed Rock (NCDR) Concrete Crushing Provision of waste concrete crushing and stockpiling services at the Warracknabeal, Hopetoun and Murtoa Transfer Stations. Output material to be crushed and screened to produce material of 20mm stockpiled on site. Crushed and screened concrete will require to have all metal material removed using high-powered magnets. It is agreeable that not all small fragments of metal will be removed, this material is for use as road pavement and large quantities of metal debris will not be acceptable. All concrete will be diverted from general waste and stockpiled on-site by Council staff in advance of the contractor being on-site. Any steel removed from the concrete shall be stockpiled separately and remains the property of the Council. Removal of crushed concrete from site does not form part of this contract.
