Greater Western Water (GWW) intends to release a Request for Tender (RFT) in August 2026 for the Potable Water Service Upgrade at Melton Recycled Water Plant located at 77-207 Butlers Road, Mount Cottrell, Victoria. The RFT will shortlist suitable service provider for the detailed design, supply, install, commission and integration of the fire suppression system to ensure compliance; and a hydraulic system to boost pressure across the site to ensure sufficient pressure for the safety showers and eyewash systems. This is to be completed according to required Australian Standard for fire safety, Chemical Handling Safety and Greater Western Water requirements. The high-level scope of services required for these projects will include: Detailed design, supply, install, commission and integration of the fire suppression system upgrade including relevant equipment, dual head hydrant and pipework as proposed in the functional design to ensure compliance with current Australian Safety Standards and meet GWW requirements. Detailed design, supply, install, commission and integrate a hydraulic booster system with relevant equipment, tanks and pipework to boost hydraulic pressure across Melton Recycled Water Plant as proposed in functional design and install and/or replace safety showers and eye washes where necessary. Previous experience in design and construction of similar systems will be highly regarded.
