The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) intends to release a Request for Tender (RFT) for the delivery of fuel break slashing and verge maintenance services across the Metro District in Port Phillip Region. The services will support fire preparedness and public safety outcomes through the reduction of grass fuel loads, maintenance of roadside and trackside vegetation, and provision of safe access for emergency response and the public.
