About this tender
Overview The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) is seeking to establish a panel of suitably qualified restorative engagement facilitators to deliver specialist facilitation services across the Redress Programs. Scope Facilitators will work collaboratively with departmental staff, institutional representatives and participating institutions to support participant-led restorative engagement processes that are safe, trauma-informed and consistent with restorative practice principles. The services to be procured include: Preparation and engagement with participants before restorative engagement Facilitation of restorative engagement meetings, personal acknowledgements and apologies Collaboration with departmental staff and institutional representatives throughout the restorative engagement process Participation in post-engagement debriefing Contribution to Communities of Practice and capability development activities facilitated by DFFH Identification and reporting of systemic themes and practice learnings to support continuous improvement Delivery of services in accordance with departmental policies, legislative requirements and best practice trauma-informed principles This procurement will establish a panel capable of supporting all three redress programs through a consistent service delivery model while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing program demand over the life of the contract. Facilitators will support the restorative engagement process across the three programs for clients who have accepted an offer of redress and want an acknowledgment and apology from the responsible institution. This may include an in-person apology, a written apology, or both.
