Overview Zoos Victoria invites tenders for the servicing, repairs and maintenance of the water treatment plants at Werribee Open Range Zoo. About Werribee Open Range Zoo currently has two water treatment plants that require ongoing scheduled servicing. The first is the critical infrastructure at the Elephant Trail Water Treatment Plant, which is responsible for cleaning the two pools that provide enrichment to the Werribee Open Range Zoo elephant herd. Servicing, repairs and maintenance to keep the pools safe and functional for animal welfare is critical. The second water treatment plant services the Water Play space at Hippo Beach, a major visitor engagement area for children during the warmer months. The servicing and operation of this water treatment plant is subject to compliance under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008. Scope The scope includes: Servicing, repairs and maintenance of the Elephant Trail Water Treatment Plant, servicing the two elephant enrichment pools Servicing, repairs and maintenance of the water treatment plant servicing the Water Play space at Hippo Beach Contract Terms and Conditions Initial contract period of 2 years Option to extend on 3 occasions for 1 year each, for a potential total contract term of 5 years Instructions to Tenderers Tenderers are invited to submit tenders for both water treatment plants. Zoos Victoria will not consider tenders addressing the servicing of only one of the water treatment plants.
