Williamstown Mechanics Institute Design

Overview Hobsons Bay City Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified architectural practice as Lead Consultant to prepare designs for the Williamstown Mechanics Institute (WMI) and Cottage. Scope The Lead Consultant and appointed subconsultants are to provide: Package A: Partial design services (up to and including Schematic Design phase) for the Williamstown Mechanics Institute site Package B: Full design services, including Construction phase support, for the adjoining Cottage, Museum Work Room and minor ancillary spaces Package C: Option for continuing Design Support Services (Advisory/Design Review role) to support the continuation of the partially completed design elements should construction funding be allocated Site Inspection Attendance at one of the nominated site visits is mandatory for a Tenderer to submit a conforming Tender. A Tender submitted by a Tenderer that does not attend either site visit will be deemed non-conforming and will not be considered for evaluation. Tenderers must register for the site visit by contacting the Procurement Contact Officer and providing the names and roles of the proposed attendees. Following registration, confirmation will be issued together with the site address and any other relevant details. Due to safety concerns, numbers of visitors will be capped at each session, and prior registration is required.
