The City is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Contractors who wish to be considered to become part of a selected number who will then be invited to submit a formal Tender for the delivery of capital works projects that are budgeted for the 2026/27 financial year. The formal Tender will result in one Contractor who will be responsible for inhouse / subcontract of all works on the 2026/27 Capital Works list. It will be the responsibility of the winning Contractor to complete the works inhouse or subcontract at their discretion. The 2026/27 Capital Works list will be approved at the June 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting (OCM). Once approved at this OCM, the formal Tender will be advertised to the selected number of Contractors who have been chosen as part of this EOI process. A mandatory briefing session will be held. Subcontractors are encouraged to attend this briefing session to understand the works and meet any Contractors submitting a response to this EOI. Contractors failed to submit their responses against this EOI, will not be considered for the formal Tender.
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
