Collins Class Training Services RFI

Overview The Department of Defence is seeking expressions of interest from industry providers in delivering Collins Class Training Services to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) post June 2029. About Training Authority Submarines (TA-SM), as part of Navy Training Force, is responsible for the provision of 'Platform Training' (operator, maintainer and operational training), from initial entry to the category through to training for senior sailors and officers throughout their submarine career. This training supports the Collins Class capability by producing qualified personnel to meet the Directed Training Requirement. Purpose The current contract responsible for providing Collins Class Training Services to the RAN is scheduled to expire at the end of June 2029. Training Force is seeking an early indication of interest from industry providers who may wish to tender for these services, in order to enable adequate planning of future training requirements. Scope Training Force requires the following services to be provided to support future Collins Class Training: Course Delivery and Planning, including Initial Submarine Training, Individual Career Training, Collective Operational Training, and training in support of other Defence units Training Development Services, including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation Learning Technology Support, including evaluation and selection of Learning Technology, design and development of Learning Technology, implementation and support of Learning Technology, maintenance and sustainment of Learning Technology, and project management of Learning Technology projects Contract and Financial Management, Governance and Assurance HSE, Quality, and Risk Management Likely Positions Required Manager of Training Services Instructor positions covering power, propulsion, platform, weapons, auxiliary and combat systems STEM Instructor Training Technology Lead Senior Training Developer Organisational Development Lead Information Requested In understanding who may be interested in tendering for this work, Training Force is also seeking to understand where prospective tenderers would source their workforce from, which would be required to deliver these services.
