About this tender

Overview The Shire of Manjimup is seeking expressions of interest from local businesses, producers and industry groups who may be interested in partnering with the Shire to improve roads used for commodity transport. About Funding opportunities may be available through the State Government Commodity Routes Fund (CRF), which supports upgrades of roads that play an important role in transporting commodities such as timber, agricultural products, lime and other freight. The program recognises the importance of these routes to regional economies and encourages industry involvement in project development and funding contributions. Purpose The Shire is currently identifying support for future funding applications and is keen to hear from businesses and industry operators who may be interested in partnering with the Shire to improve roads used for commodity transport. Scope Potential projects may include: Road rehabilitation and strengthening Improvements to gravel roads servicing commodity transport Drainage improvements Road widening and safety improvements Other works that support efficient freight movement Eligibility Industry co-contributions are encouraged under the funding program and can strengthen the competitiveness of an application. Businesses that rely on local roads to transport commodities and believe there may be opportunities to improve a section of road are invited to come forward.
