Overview The Town of Port Hedland is seeking suitably qualified contractor/s to design, supply and install roof-mounted solar systems at five community facility locations across Port Hedland. Scope The scope includes: Design of the complete solar PV, battery energy storage, and associated communication and monitoring systems for the specified locations Supply and installation of roof-mounted solar systems at Hedland BMX Club (Lot 5823, Darlot Street, Port Hedland WA 6721), Port Hedland Rovers Football Club (Lot 3278, Corney Street, Port Hedland WA 6721), Port Hedland Speedway Club (Madigan Road, Pippingarra WA 6721), Port Hedland Motorcycle Club (Buttweld Road, Pippingarra WA 6721), and Port Hedland Netball Club (Lot 5330, Hamilton Road, South Hedland WA 6722) Obtaining a structural engineering assessment certificate confirming site-specific wind uplift and downforce loads and compliance with Wind Region D requirements Ensuring designs comply with Certificate of Design Compliance requirements and obtaining Certificate of Design Certifications for building permits Obtaining building permit/s from the relevant local permit authority and payment of associated application fees Submitting the design and equipment list to the Town of Port Hedland for pre-approval prior to procurement or installation Applying for and obtaining Horizon Power approval, and making all associated payments, for the installation, connection and operation of the solar PV and battery energy storage systems at each site Supply and installation of all specified equipment, including consumables, ancillary items, and any minor components required to fully meet the specifications Commissioning of all systems and equipment, including successful connection to the electricity grid where applicable, to allow the Town of Port Hedland to operate the systems Applying for, or advising the Town of Port Hedland of, applicable rebates for the proposed systems, including distributed energy buyback and battery rebates Providing one training session at each location to Town of Port Hedland staff on system operation, startup and shutdown, monitoring tools, and data access following commissioning Provision of a performance guarantee, a comprehensive system warranty, and honouring of all manufacturer equipment warranties Contractor Requirements Completion of the scope of work in full compliance with the tender document, all applicable Australian Standards, Horizon Power requirements, and relevant local regulations, whether specified in the document or not Selection of equipment that is as consistent as practicable across all sites, with site-specific variations accepted only where they provide an optimal technical or economic solution Installation strictly in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and guidelines Use of equipment that is new, of high quality, designed in accordance with best industry practice, and fully conforming to the requirements specified in the tender document
