About this tender

Overview The Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sports and the Arts is seeking to engage an experienced and appropriately licensed contractor to provide advisory services, asset reporting and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of specialised television and radio broadcasting equipment and emergency broadcasting equipment in the Indian Ocean Territories. These services are essential to the effective functioning of the broadcasting system and the protection of Commonwealth assets in the Indian Ocean Territories. The broadcasting system also supports emergency broadcasting capabilities on the Islands, which is an essential service in the event of an emergency situation. Objectives Through this RFT, the Department is seeking innovative, value for money solutions from the market that deliver the following objectives: Maintain all broadcasting assets on the Islands as required, ensuring that there is no deterioration in the state of the assets (excluding fair wear and tear) Attend, assess and address faults to restore broadcasting services within designated timeframes From time to time, provide advice or assistance on the repair or replacement of parts or equipment Scope Through this RFT, the Department is seeking to enter into one or more contracts for specialised broadcasting maintenance services for the Indian Ocean Territories. The scope includes: Broadcasting maintenance, scheduled services and asset reporting, including general obligations, scheduled maintenance activities, and asset reporting Broadcasting maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, including general obligations and attendance to faults Advisory and other services Transition-in and transition-out services Sites, Assets and Services to be Maintained Christmas Island: Drumsite Rocky Point Phosphate Hill Irvine Hill South Point Wadell Hill Deployable Communications Trailer (including generator) currently housed at CI Airport Cocos (Keeling) Islands: West Island Home Island Eligibility No conditions for participation are specified.
