Overview The Department of Housing and Works (WA) is seeking a contractor for the construction of a new covered assembly block at Rivervale Primary School, on behalf of the Department of Education. About The project forms part of the New Schools and Maintenance Vision - Minor Works election commitment and comprises the construction of a new covered assembly block at Rivervale Primary School, located at 99 Acton Street, Belmont. The covered assembly block will provide a dedicated all-weather facility for school assemblies, events and outdoor learning activities, improving the functionality and usability of the school's undercover facilities for students, staff and the wider school community. The Works will be undertaken within the existing school grounds of an operational primary school that will remain occupied throughout the Contract period. Scope The scope includes: Construction of a new covered assembly block at Rivervale Primary School Construction of a covered assembly area Construction of a purpose-built music room Construction of associated storage facilities Installation of all supporting building services Associated site works including paving, drainage, service connections and other works necessary to support the new facility Undertaking all works necessary to achieve practical completion, including testing, commissioning, certification and handover requirements Contractor Requirements Undertake the Works on an occupied and operational school site and coordinate all activities with the Superintendent's Representative Implement appropriate management measures to minimise disruption to school operations Ensure the Works are completed in a safe manner at all times Familiarise themselves with the site conditions, access arrangements and interfaces with existing school facilities
