Overview The City of Albany is seeking to engage a suitably qualified civil construction contractor to undertake the Lambert Street Reconstruction contract, covering the section of Lambert Street from Drummond Street to Leschenault, SLK 0.0-0.28. About Lambert Street is a single lane minor road that services Parklands Primary School, Lockyer Community Kindergarten and local residents. The road carries an average of 660 vehicles per day of weekday traffic, with peak times occurring during school drop off and pickup. Scope The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: Replacement of existing and installation of new stormwater drainage pits, pipes, covers and grates Replacement of existing road pavement Sealing and asphalting Disposal of all works removed or replaced Installation of kerbing, pram ramps, driveway aprons and crossovers Removal and installation of concrete paths Installation of road markings and signage Associated traffic management and preliminaries to the works Planning and scheduling works to maximise construction activities during the summer school holidays, which occur between 19 December 2026 and 1 February 2027, with any works undertaken outside these dates planned to ensure the school and associated services can function as normal
