About this tender
Overview The City of Fremantle is seeking to engage a skilled and experienced contractor to provide high-quality, safe and efficient mowing and associated turf maintenance services across City-managed sporting fields, passive reserves, sloped areas, and associated turf areas. About The City of Fremantle is a local government authority located 20km south of the Perth CBD, comprising the suburbs of Beaconsfield, Fremantle, Hilton, North Fremantle, O'Connor, Samson, South Fremantle and White Gum Valley. The Town of Fremantle Council was founded in 1871 and gained city status in 1929. Today, the City employs more than 400 people and services approximately 30,000 residents over a land area of 19 square kilometres. The City has a strong focus on responsible social, economic and environmental management. In 2009, Fremantle became WA's first carbon neutral city, and in September 2014 it became one of only two councils in Australia to achieve national One Planet certification for sustainability. The City also has a strong focus on arts and culture, and owns and runs the Fremantle Arts Centre and festivals including Australia's oldest festival, the Fremantle Festival.
