NWB-GEN-GE-SCM-1021-AB - Joinery Supply and Install - New Women and Babies Hospital

Overview Webuild, as WA Life, is delivering the design and construction of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project (NWBHP) in Perth. As part of this project, WA Life is seeking a subcontractor to supply and install joinery for the Women and Babies Hospital (WBH) and Osborne Park Hospital (OPH). About Commissioned by the Western Australian Government, the New Women and Babies Hospital Project aims to replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families in Western Australia. The Women and Babies Hospital (WBH) will be built within the Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) precinct in the southern suburb of Murdoch. The project also includes a major expansion of Osborne Park Hospital (OPH), located in the northern suburb of Stirling. As Managing Contractor, WA Life will complete the design and engineering, procurement, construction and handover of health care facilities located at FSH and OPH. The WBH health facility will essentially be a greenfield site containing a new 78,000sqm state-of-the-art hospital and operating campus. The OPH health facility will be a brownfield site within the existing OPH precinct, involving the demolition and expansion of the existing and operational (non-teaching) hospital with complex interfaces. Scope The scope covers the Women and Babies Hospital (WBH) and Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) joinery trade package (supply and install). The scope includes: Supply, fabrication, delivery and installation of all joinery items Benchtops, shelving, cupboards and overhead units Tall units, reception counters, staff stations and workstations Wardrobes and storage units Wall-mounted joinery and bedheads Loose furniture Wall/ceiling finishes and associated components Contractor Requirements HSE Requirements The subcontractor must comply with all regulations and procedures relating to Health, Safety and Environment requirements laid down by Statutory Authorities, the Contractor and the subcontractor's own Safety Manual The subcontractor must maintain the highest regard for the health and safety of its own personnel and of the environment, and ensure its activities do not endanger the safety of its personnel and local communities All reasonable precautions must be taken for the protection of workers and members of the public and property that might be affected by the subcontractor's work or services Relevant Work Experience Subcontractors are requested to provide a list of projects demonstrating proven experience within the last 5 years, including the following details for completed projects or experience where the above criteria are met: Project name Year the project was executed Operator name Project scope Experience operating in Western Australia
