Overview Webuild, as WA Life, will deliver the design and construction of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project (NWBHP) in Perth. WA Life, as Managing Contractor, is seeking a subcontractor to supply and install waste services systems for the Women and Babies Hospital (WBH) and Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) as part of this project. About The project is commissioned by the Western Australian Government and aims to replace the century old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families in Western Australia. The Women and Babies Hospital (WBH) will be built within the Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) precinct in the southern suburb of Murdoch. The project also includes a major expansion of Osborne Park Hospital (OPH), located in the northern suburb of Stirling. As Managing Contractor, WA Life will complete the design and engineering, procurement, construction, and handover of health care facilities located at FSH and OPH. The WBH health facility will essentially be a greenfield site containing a new 78,000sqm state-of-the-art hospital and operating campus. The OPH health facility will be a brownfield site within the existing OPH precinct, involving the demolition and expansion of the existing and operational (non-teaching) hospital with complex interfaces. Scope The Works include, but are not necessarily limited to, the Women and Babies Hospital (WBH) and Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) Waste Services package. The Waste Services Trade Package shall include the supply, installation, and all associated works for the following systems: The scope includes: Women and Babies Hospital (WBH): one (1) Integrated General Waste and Soiled Linen Chute system Women and Babies Hospital (WBH): one (1) Dock Leveller system Women and Babies Hospital (WBH): one (1) Dock Hoist system Women and Babies Hospital (WBH): one (1) Kitchen Food Waste Management system Osborne Park Hospital (OPH): two (2) Dock Hoist systems Osborne Park Hospital (OPH): one (1) Kitchen Food Waste Management system Contractor Requirements HSE Requirements The subcontractor shall comply with all regulations and procedures relating to Health and Safety and Environment requirements laid down by Statutory Authorities, the Contractor, and the subcontractor's own Safety Manual The subcontractor shall maintain the highest regard for the health and safety of its own personnel and of the environment, and ensure that its activities do not endanger the safety of the subcontractor's personnel and local communities All reasonable precautions shall be taken for the protection of workers and members of the public and property that might be affected by the subcontractor's work or services Enquiries All initial enquiries should be made through the Industry Capability Network Western Australia (ICNWA).
