About this tender
Overview The City of Albany is seeking to establish a Panel of Suppliers for the provision of labour and associated equipment for concreting of footpaths and pavements. Purpose The Panel of Suppliers will be the City's preferred suppliers, with requests for concreting of footpaths or pavements to be directed to Panel members before all others. The City reserves the right to carry out works in-house, or to engage non-Panel members where the works are of a specialised nature. Nothing in the contract restricts the City from calling for submissions for major concreting works as determined by the City. Scope The scope includes: Supply and placement of concrete for footpaths and pavements Provision and installation of Lock Joints, reinforcement and formwork where necessary Completion of specified finishing, curing, jointing and reinstatement Supply of all necessary labour, plant and equipment Contract Terms and Conditions The City intends to appoint up to three (3) Contractors to the Panel of Suppliers for concreting Work will be provided on an "as and when required" basis, only when requested by purchase order No guarantee is given as to the amount of concreting work, if any, that will be required Instructions to Tenderers Panel members will be engaged according to the following process: Step 1: Concreting required Step 2: Quotation based on the submitted Price Schedule may be required Step 3: Choose a contractor Step 4: If the first choice is unavailable, contact the second choice In addition to this process, Panel members will be engaged after consideration is given to job requirements, efficient execution of the job, ability to meet the timeframe for the particular works, and best value for money for the City. The City requires flexibility in the Panel to negotiate and evaluate requirements for individual works packages, and will provide the Contractor with clear and concise instructions regarding the works requirements, informing the Contractor of any additional works required prior to initial works commencing.
