Refurbishment of the Transwa Commercial Area - Ground Floor PTC
Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview The Public Transport Authority (WA) is seeking a suitably qualified builder to undertake the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Transwa Contact and Booking Centre, located on the ground floor of the Public Transport Centre (PTC). About The existing facility has undergone numerous incremental modifications over many years, resulting in a layout that no longer effectively supports current operational requirements, staffing levels, customer service delivery, or workplace functionality. To ensure continuity of front counter ticketing services during the refurbishment works, a related project involving the extension of the southern end of the Transwa Operations Office was completed in July 2026. This created an accessible front counter facility accommodating two Transwa personnel, with access provided through the Operations Office to ensure safe and secure staff ingress and egress. Purpose The proposed refurbishment will deliver a modern, fit-for-purpose contact centre environment designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve staff wellbeing, and strengthen customer service outcomes. Scope The scope includes: Refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Transwa Contact and Booking Centre on the ground floor of the Public Transport Centre (PTC) Delivery of a modern, safe, accessible, and compliant workplace upon completion Meeting all applicable requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC) Contractor Requirements Builder pre-qualification: Level 1 Simple Tender Briefing A briefing session will be held for this opportunity. How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
