Town of Port Hedland – Human Resources Medical Services and Screening

Overview The Town of Port Hedland requires the provision of pre-employment and occupational health assessment services to support the engagement and ongoing management of employees, contractors, consultants and volunteers. Purpose The services are intended to assist the Town in determining an individual's fitness for work and capacity to safely perform the inherent requirements of a role, taking into consideration any relevant medical conditions, medications and workplace risks. These services support the Town's commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and ensuring compliance with relevant workplace health and safety obligations. Scope The scope includes: Provision of medical assessments as requested by the Town Drug and alcohol screening services, supporting compliance with the Town's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) Reporting of drug and alcohol screening results in accordance with applicable standards and testing requirements Associated reporting services as requested by the Town Contractor Requirements Ability to deliver services in a timely and efficient manner to minimise delays in recruitment, onboarding and workforce management activities, given the Town's operational requirements, including remote and safety-sensitive roles
