OBJECTIVES: The objective is the fabricate and install a complete new transfer chute including wear liners. Refurbish the upper access platform by replacing the corroded beam running along the northern wall of the transfer tower, replacing the walkway mesh around upper section of the transfer chute, blasting and painting the structure of the platform, and replacing the northern wall sheeting and purlins. All works aiming for the January 2027 shutdown. Scope of Works: The contractor shall be responsible for the complete planning, execution, and management of the CV02-CV03 transfer chute, and platform works in accordance with all relevant standards, regulations, and client procedures. All activities must be carried out in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner, minimizing disruption to ongoing port or terminal operations. The contractor must ensure that all personnel are appropriately trained, certified, and inducted for working on or around MWPA equipment. Work areas must be adequately barricaded and signposted to prevent unauthorized access. All tools, equipment, lifting gear, and machinery used in the execution of the works must be fit for purpose, tested, and certified as required. The contractor shall also be responsible for the coordination of any subcontractors, the provision of all required documentation (e.g., permits, risk assessments, lifting plans), and the reinstatement or protection of any affected systems or structures. All work must comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements. Contractor to provide 2 prices including drafting to change drawings for the transfer chute. Quote 1 all 316 Stainless steel with 12mm 2205 stainless steel wear plates. Quote 2 for chute in Galvanised steel with 12mm 2205 stainless wear plates. Pre-Works Preparation • Conduct detailed site inspection of TT02 • Prepare method statement and risk assessments for the work. • Fabricate Transfer chute and wear liners to the drawing provided by MWPA. • Fabricate support beam to drawing provided by MWPA • Fabricate grid mesh sections as per drawing provided by MWPA • Order trim deck sheeting and fabricate purlins as per drawing provided by MWPA Chute sheeting and grid mesh removal • Mobilize appropriate equipment (e.g., crane, rigging gear, etc). • Install access platforms, scaffolding, or fall protection as needed. • Remove roof and wall sheeting • Remove old transfer chute • Remove motor, gearbox and head pulley • Remove floor mesh Blast and paint • Surface treat platform structure and columns in accordance with the MWPA Surface preparation and painting guideline, paint provided by MWPA coating to be interzone 954 • Encapsulate as so no garnet, debris or paint can escape. Chute replacement, platform refurbishment and re-sheeting works • Install new support beam • Install new grid mesh ensuring it meets Australian Standards • Install new gearbox, motor and head pulley provided by MWPA • Install new transfer chute and wear liners • Install new wall sheeting • Measure, order and install flashing • Re-instate roof sheeting Post-Removal Works • Clean and make safe the remaining structure. • Remove temporary access systems and equipment. • Remove redundant chute, mesh and sheeting from site Site Visit A site visit will be held at 298 Marine Terrace, Geraldton on 8 Jul, 2026 10:30 AM.
