Overview The Testing & Quality Assurance (TQA) section within the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry is seeking an experienced Performance Test Lead to support the ongoing enhancement, optimisation, and maintenance of enterprise performance testing capabilities. The role requires a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a commitment to driving best practices across performance engineering and testing activities. Role Requirements Minimum of six years' experience in a Performance Test Lead or similar senior performance testing role Experience contributing to the development, improvement, and governance of performance testing frameworks, standards, best practices, and guardrails Strong technical expertise in performance testing tools and associated technologies, such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Azure Load Testing and Azure DevOps Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Wireshark, Splunk, and Azure Monitor Programming and scripting experience in one or more languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, Python, and PowerShell Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared outcomes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in a timely manner High level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement Experience supporting performance testing within complex enterprise environments A proactive approach to identifying performance risks and driving remediation strategies A commitment to fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement across delivery teams Desirable attributes Relevant industry certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), ISTQB Performance Testing Certification, or Micro Focus LoadRunner Certification
