This Tender is invited by the Issuer. Overview The Australian Digital Health Agency is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join the Data and Reporting Team. The role will be key to maturing the Agency's data extraction, insights, and manipulation capabilities, undertaking complex and sensitive work under broad direction and applying sound analytical decision making to produce high quality outcomes. The Role The role includes: Collecting, storing, and interpreting data, and providing technical expertise to ensure data integrity through quality and accuracy measures Processing, designing, and presenting data in a meaningful way, including identifying patterns and trends to support Senior Executive Leaders in making better business decisions Providing expertise and technical advice on complex data extraction, manipulation, visualisation, analytic problem solving, and issues management Partnering with Data Engineers and Scientists to build foundational datasets that are trusted, well understood, and aligned with business strategy Data storytelling and visualisation, including designing executive dashboards in Power BI, developing infographics, presenting insights clearly, and tailoring visualisations for different audiences Supporting reporting requirements by analysing, extracting, and publishing information on anomalies, insights, and trends Contributing to innovation and data improvement strategies Ensuring quality outputs, including maintaining a high level of data quality Building capability in a team environment through knowledge sharing Continuously identifying areas of improvement and ensuring application of standards and best practices Working independently under direction, resolving issues concurrently while delivering quality outcomes Communicating and making decisions with a high level of impact on the functional area, with potential to impact more broadly on agency operations and externally Role Requirements Strong skills in languages including, but not limited to, Python, SQL, and Power BI Strong technical skills in Azure Databricks and Power BI Demonstrated 8+ years' experience as a senior data analyst in the environment and skills listed in the Technical Skills requirements Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and the ability to present findings to both highly technical and non-technical staff Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and technical leadership in uplifting the team Bachelor's or Master's degree in data analysis, mathematics, or a related field
