1 Senior Research Data Analyst

This Tender is invited by the Issuer. Overview The Australian Digital Health Agency is seeking a Senior Research Data Analyst (APS6 Data Analyst) to enhance business decision-making with data. The role involves working with stakeholders to understand their needs, conducting research and extracting relevant data, performing analyses, and delivering reports to technical and non-technical audiences. This includes designing and building data models that provide actionable insights to inform product enhancement strategy and other Agency initiatives. The Role Key outcomes for this role include: Delivering high-quality data analysis to support Agency planning, policy, product and operational decision making Collecting, preparing, analysing and interpreting data from a range of health, digital, operational and administrative sources Designing and maintaining datasets, data models, measures and indicators that support monitoring, reporting and evidence-informed decision-making Preparing reports, briefs, visualisations and presentations that translate data into clear and practical insights for a range of audiences Supporting research, evaluation and continuous improvement activities through robust analytical methods Performing quality assurance and documentation activities to support the accuracy, reliability and integrity of analytical outputs Working effectively with internal stakeholders to understand information needs, define analytical questions and support consistent reporting approaches Contributing to an evidence-informed culture by promoting high-quality data use, analytical rigour and clear communication of insights across the Agency Role Requirements Strong problem-solving skills and strong foundational skills enabling flexible work on problems with varying scale, data types and analysis approaches An undergraduate degree in science, health, and/or a data-related field Postgraduate training and experience analysing health data is highly regarded Familiarity with R is desirable Experience with Azure Databricks is desirable
