Overview The Council of the City of Sydney (the City) is seeking to understand current and emerging market capabilities for an integrated, future-ready on-street parking and enforcement technology solution that can support operational efficiency, a high-quality customer experience, regulatory compliance, and long-term financial and environmental sustainability within a dense and high-demand urban environment. This is a Request for Information (RFI). Purpose Through this RFI, the City is seeking to engage with the market to understand available and emerging technologies, solution capabilities, delivery models and innovations that could support the City's future parking and enforcement requirements. The RFI is also intended to provide the City with a better understanding of the market, available technologies, industry trends, potential solution models and key considerations for any future procurement, including how emerging technologies and innovations may support dynamic kerbside management, automation, data-driven decision making and the future evolution of parking and enforcement services. This RFI is not a commitment by the City to procure any particular solution or proceed with a subsequent procurement process. Objectives The City is seeking to understand solutions that can support the following key outcomes: Future-fit and customer-friendly parking payment capabilities, including contemporary payment methods and an improved customer experience Reliable and effective enforcement capabilities that retain or enhance established operational practices and support regulatory compliance Secure, resilient and future-proof technology, with the potential to support a 10+ year operational lifecycle through appropriate technology refresh and lifecycle management Improved data quality, reporting and analytics to support operational management and strategic decision making Seamless integration and compliance with relevant legislation, standards and City policies, including requirements relating to data ownership, privacy, security and integration with the Revenue NSW fines processing system Financial and environmental sustainability, including opportunities to reduce maintenance, asset renewal and whole-of-life costs while improving system availability and reliability Scalability and interoperability to support future changes in parking policy, technology, customer expectations and broader smart city and transport objectives Eligibility The City is particularly interested in responses from organisations that currently provide, or anticipate being able to provide within the next 12–18 months, long-term solutions for parking meters, parking payment technology and/or parking enforcement software and technology.
