1 Software Engineer (Developer)

Overview The Australian Digital Health Agency is seeking a Full Stack Developer who, under broad direction, is accountable for designing, developing, testing and supporting software solutions that contribute to the Agency's conformance, interoperability and digital health objectives. Working closely with business analysts, solution architects and project stakeholders, the role translates business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable digital solutions. The Role The position will play a key role in the development and enhancement of Agency systems that support conformance assessment, workflow automation, evidence management and reporting capabilities. The successful candidate will apply contemporary software engineering practices to develop digital solutions that improve the efficiency, consistency and transparency of conformance activities and support the Agency's broader digital health objectives. The role will work closely with business analysts and conformance subject matter experts to analyse conformance requirements, assessment criteria and interoperability specifications, translating them into Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) scenarios, Gherkin specifications and automated tests using the Cucumber framework. These automated assessments will support consistent, repeatable and evidence-based conformance outcomes. Role Requirements To be successful in this role you will: Demonstrate the ability to analyse business requirements, conformance statements and assessment criteria and translate them into Gherkin specifications, automated tests and executable assessment rules Demonstrate experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise web applications and APIs Possess strong skills in .NET, C#, Angular, React and modern software development practices Demonstrate experience working in Agile delivery environments and contributing to DevOps and CI/CD practices Demonstrate the ability to translate business and functional requirements into effective technical solutions Demonstrate experience with Agile delivery methods, automated testing and DevOps practices Demonstrate an understanding of healthcare interoperability principles and HL7 FHIR standards Work collaboratively with business analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality and fit-for-purpose outcomes Enquiries Buyer contact: tenderresponses@digitalhealth.gov.au
