Overview Tamworth Regional Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from food stallholders to operate food stalls or food sites at the 2027 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Food stalls are defined as mobile food vendors, food trucks and/or marquee set ups, while food sites are stationary sites. Scope The scope includes: Operating a food stall in Fitzroy Street Plaza (limited to 6 sites) or Toyota (Bicentennial) Park (limited to 8 sites) in the Tamworth CBD No food trucks or vendors permitted to operate in Peel Street, with TCMF reserving the right to promote existing Peel Street businesses Operating stalls in the CBD from approximately 10am to 10pm each day of the festival For Toyota Park stalls: operating during the minimum hours of 5pm to 10:30pm every day, with optional hours of 9am to 5pm every day For Fitzroy Street stalls: operating during the minimum hours of between 10am and 5pm for 5 hours every day, with optional hours of 7am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm every day Toyota Park hosts a major concert on all 10 nights of the festival, commencing at 7pm each night. Traders in this location can operate all day but traditionally operate from 5:00pm through to 10:30pm each night. TCMF cannot guarantee crowd numbers at any stage throughout the 10 days of the festival. Eligibility The following will be taken into account when assessing applications for the 2027 Tamworth Country Music Festival: Applications will be assessed on the type of food products sold, including pricing and gluten free/vegetarian options As food sites are restricted, priority is given to professional food operators based in the Tamworth Local Government Area (LGA)/Region Preferred consideration will go to vendors with family friendly pricing, who must have one (1) low cost (under $10) meal option that is not drinks/beverage, and vendors that display inclusion and accessibility (ordering and serving options) with their set up, including easier access for ordering and receiving of goods (i.e. at ground level) The quality of the set up and how goods are displayed, with photographs of stock and stall set up to be included with the application A full list of all items for sale must be included For previous stallholders: payment of stall fees by the due date, with no outstanding stall fees For previous stallholders: behaviour of staff For previous stallholders: compliance with requests from festival organisers For previous stallholders: compliance with all terms and conditions Contract Terms and Conditions Fees for food stalls are for 10 days (inc. GST), available for 10 days only: Up to 6 metres frontage, Visitor: $2800 CBD Food Stall for traders not living in the Tamworth LGA Up to 6 metres frontage, Local: $1800 CBD Food Stall for traders currently living in the Tamworth LGA Over 6 metres frontage, Visitor: extra $450 per metre for traders not living in the Tamworth LGA Over 6 metres frontage, Local: extra $300 per metre for traders currently living in the Tamworth LGA All applications are subject to the Food Stall Terms and Conditions (PDF 225.8KB). Information Requested Before continuing, applicants should have the following at hand: A scanned/photographed copy of a current Public Liability Insurance policy or certificate ($20 million coverage required), with dates covering the full 10 days of the 2027 Festival A digital photo of the stall and/or goods sold, and a price list If applying for the Local Trading Fee, a scanned/photographed copy of a rates notice or other document showing the applicant's home address The preferred format for scanned/photographed images or documents is PDF (Adobe Acrobat), but JPEG, DOC, and DOCX will also be accepted. Instructions to Tenderers All applicants will be contacted via email after the closing date, in the week commencing 12 October 2026, to be informed of the outcome of their Expression of Interest.
