Overview South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) invites tenders for the operation of a food and beverage retail service at Camden Hospital under a turnover-rent arrangement. The opportunity is suitable for café, coffee cart and hospitality operators. SWSLHD seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced operator to provide a food and beverage retail service from the designated retail space located at Camden Hospital. Objectives The objectives of this opportunity are to: Provide a high-quality, accessible and affordable food and beverage offering for patients, visitors, staff and other users of Camden Hospital Ensure the retail service operates in accordance with NSW Health and SWSLHD requirements, including the Healthy Food and Drink in NSW Health Facilities for Staff and Visitors Framework Establish a commercially sustainable arrangement based on a turnover-rent model Deliver an appropriate commercial return to SWSLHD Appoint a retail operator capable of providing a safe, reliable and customer-focused service throughout the term of the Agreement Scope SWSLHD is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to operate a food and beverage retail service from the designated retail space at Camden Hospital, 61 Menangle Road, Camden NSW. The scope includes: Establishing, operating and maintaining the retail service, including the provision of all labour, equipment, stock, consumables and operational resources necessary to support the business Providing quality food and beverage products suitable for a healthcare environment, including coffee, hot and cold beverages, light meals, sandwiches, wraps and healthy snack options Complying with the NSW Health Healthy Food and Drink in NSW Health Facilities for Staff and Visitors Framework Operating during the minimum operating hours specified in the Request for Tender Complying with workplace health and safety, security and environmental requirements Complying with site waste management and Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) requirements Participating in a turnover-rent commercial arrangement and providing turnover reporting in accordance with the Agreement Contract Terms and Conditions The proposed Agreement term is five (5) years Tender Briefing and Site Inspection A site inspection and briefing session will be available to interested Tenderers. Interested Tenderers are encouraged to attend the briefing session and site inspection detailed in the Request for Tender documentation.
