Overview Maitland City Council is seeking to establish a panel of three (3) suitably qualified and experienced Service Providers (contractors) to provide electrical maintenance services on Council owned buildings and grounds. Purpose The purpose of this tender is to establish a panel of three (3) suitably qualified and experienced Service Providers to provide electrical maintenance services on Council owned buildings and grounds for a three (3) year period, with an option for two (2) x one (1) year extensions. The exercising of the option to extend the contract is solely at the Principal's discretion. Scope Provision of electrical maintenance services on Council owned buildings and grounds Contract Terms and Conditions Contract period of three (3) years, with an option for two (2) x one (1) year extensions, to be exercised solely at the Principal's discretion Successful Service Providers will be ranked from one (1) to three (3) based on the assessment of tenders Individual jobs estimated up to $5,000 will be allocated to the number 1 ranked Service Provider for that type of work; if unable, unwilling or unavailable, the job will be offered to the number 2 ranked Service Provider, and so on Individual jobs estimated between $5,000 and $25,000 will be quoted on by all three Service Providers, with the work awarded to the Service Provider providing the lowest quote Individual job estimates over $25,000 are beyond the scope of this tender and will be subject to competitive tender The panel will be ranked based on the type of work to be undertaken (for example, a Service Provider with commercial experience or focus will be ranked higher for commercial work than a Service Provider with domestic experience or focus) Throughout the contract, the performance of each Service Provider will be monitored, and the ranking may change on the basis of performance
