Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (NSW) is seeking to establish a panel of suppliers via an open tender process for the delivery of Fire Access and Fire Trail (FAFT) works in the Greater Sydney Branch (GSB). Purpose The panel establishment will deliver contract management and administrative efficiencies by streamlining the award and management of repeated procurements for similar projects over the panel term. This approach reduces procurement effort, shortens lead times, and enables faster mobilisation, including facilitation of urgent or unplanned works. Scope The scope includes: Approximately 150 km of fire trail construction, upgrade, and renewal works in the Greater Sydney Branch Delivery of works in accordance with NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) standards and the Fire Trail design, construction and maintenance manual Instructions to Tenderers The procurement scope of fire trail upgrade and renewal delivery is clearly defined in Appendix A (NPWS FAFT Technical), Appendix B (NSW RFS Design, Construction and Maintenance Manual and Specifications), and Appendix C (NSW RFS Fire Trail Standards). Tenderers should refer to the entire appendices pack A to H for further details. Enquiries Contact: Ryan Lindfield Email: ryan.lindfield@dcceew.nsw.gov.au Phone: 0491957744
How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
