Overview Transport for NSW is seeking a SIRA accredited service provider to deliver Injury Illness Assist (AII) services, providing injury triage assistance to Transport Cluster employees who have reported a workplace injury or illness. Purpose The project goal is to provide all Transport cluster agencies and their employees with specific medical and triage assistance following a workplace injury or illness, including psychological injury. Scope The scope includes: Providing prompt access to triage and, if required, appropriate medical attention Applying a consistent approach to assessing the capacity (not incapacity) of employees and the benefits of early return to work, limiting Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) Conducting initial triage of employees where a workers compensation claim may be lodged, including capture of relevant details, assessment of risk or "flags", and completion of regulator Standard of Practice requirements for self-insured cases Utilisation of doctors with a specific interest in occupational and mental health, and those that understand the NSW Workers Compensation legislation requirements Maintaining improved quality assurance systems Providing a central "free call" or local number as the single point of contact Accepting referrals for medical appointments 24/7/365 and coordinating medical appointments as required out of hours Where an injury or illness is ultimately assessed as work related, billing costs associated with medical treatment in accordance with the relevant State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA), or Australian Medical Association (AMA) fee schedule, and submitting these to the Transport Injury & Health Solutions team or the Transport claims agent in a timely manner Any case assessed as non-compensable should be covered by the particular Agency, subject to approval by the nominated agency officer.
