Lightbox Lane Public Art Program - Artist EOI - February 2027 Edition
Tender Overview
About this tender
Overview Lismore City Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from artists for the February 2027 edition of the Lightbox Lane Public Art Program. Local artists are encouraged to submit an EOI for their artwork to be featured in Lightbox Lane. About Lightbox Lane is a biannual public art initiative that transforms public spaces in Lismore into vibrant, evolving galleries, showcasing the creativity and cultural identity of the region. The program provides a platform for local artists, art students, and emerging creatives to share their work in a professional public setting, celebrating the diverse voices and stories that shape the Lismore community. Artists are encouraged to deliver works that draw from the region's distinctive creative landscape and respond to the qualities that give the region its character. Work might be sparked by the natural environment and endemic wildlife, by music, gathering and performance, or by the region's connections to wellbeing, sustainable agriculture and unconventional ideas. These elements need not be represented literally; they can surface through colour, form, material, atmosphere, story or abstraction. The invitation is to encounter Lismore with curiosity, to notice what is familiar, uncover what is easily overlooked and imagine what else might be possible, with resulting works that can be intimate or expansive, grounded or experimental. How to respond to this tender
A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Read the requirements in full
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Confirm you are eligible and it is worth bidding
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Answer every criterion with evidence
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Lodge early through the official portal
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
