Overview Mid-Western Regional Council is seeking a contractor to supply and install a compliant fire detection and alarm system at the Mudgee Administration Office. Scope The scope includes: Supply and installation of a compliant Addressable Automatic Fire Detection and Alarm System with an Occupant Warning System throughout the Mudgee Administration building Integration for HVAC shutdown and automatic door release functions Provision of an interface from the fire panel to the security system so that the incumbent security provider continues to receive secondary alarm notifications and can notify site contacts in the event of a fire alarm activation Supply and installation of Block Plans and updated EVAC diagrams (digital and print) Provision of all necessary relays, interfaces, programming, wiring, testing and commissioning Operational servicing to legislative standards through the commissioning and defects liability periods, with the system to be rolled into the incumbent fire servicing contract following this period Contractor Requirements Installation and operation of the system by a qualified professional, compliant with the Australian Fire Safety Standard Contractor and all workers to be site-specific inducted and Mid-Western Regional Council inducted All insurances and relevant licences to be provided with quote submission, including but not limited to Workers Compensation, indemnity insurance and public liability insurance Liaison and coordination with all relevant tradespersons, including the security provider and HVAC/control system provider or contractor, where required Quotation to include pricing for after hours and weekend works for the duration of the project Contract Terms and Conditions System to be designed and to perform in accordance with AS1851-2012 (or the most recent Australian Standard), the National Construction Code and all NSW building codes Information Requested The successful supplier is to prepare and submit a proposed system design, including floor plans showing the location of the Fire Indicator Panel (FIP), detectors, manual call points, Occupant Warning System (OWS) speakers, warning devices and all required system interfaces, for review and approval by Council prior to commencement of installation works.
