About this tender

Overview Penrith City Council is seeking an artist to design, fabricate and install artworks for the North St Marys Art for Playspace Upgrades project, across two sites. About Council will be speaking with Darug Elders (Traditional Knowledge Holders) to collate cultural resources, with their permissions and in accordance with Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) principles, to be shared for the purposes of this project. This information will be given to four artists who will be selected to develop concepts. Scope The Artist will be responsible for: Consultation with Council's Project Team and incorporating feedback as required Capturing and including Darug culture and knowledge in the artwork Developing artistic concepts for artworks at both sites Producing detailed artwork designs suitable for fabrication and installation Procuring and managing any engineering requirements and certifications required for either the artwork and/or footings Fabricating or overseeing fabrication of the artwork Delivering and installing the completed artworks on site (installation method to be confirmed with Council) Management of contractor(s) during site installation Provision and responsibility of all site controls and WH&S during installation Contractor Requirements The artist(s) must abide by Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) Principles, as outlined in best practice Federal Government Creative Australia ICIP Protocols and as consolidated for delivering public art in the Penrith LGA Instructions to Tenderers Further details relating to the project are provided in the tender documents.
