Overview Warrumbungle Shire Council is inviting community groups, sporting clubs, volunteers, businesses and anyone interested in organising events to attend a free Community Event Management Workshop this September. About The workshop is presented by Council in partnership with its Risk Management and Insurance team. Purpose The workshop will provide practical guidance to help organisers plan and deliver safe, successful community events, covering the key considerations for managing risks and meeting responsibilities as an event organiser. Scope Topics covered in the workshop include: Identifying and managing event risks Protecting attendees, volunteers and organisations Working with contractors and vendors Practical on-site risk management strategies Planning safe and enjoyable community events Eligibility Community groups, sporting clubs, volunteers, businesses and anyone interested in organising events, including those planning a local fundraiser, sporting event, festival, market or community celebration, are encouraged to attend.
