Overview Transport for NSW is conducting a select tender for drainage, pavement, median and signage works at the Parker Street and Stafford Street intersection, Penrith. Objectives Improve road safety at the Parker Street and Stafford Street intersection by reducing the risk of serious crashes and conflict points Restrict right-turn and through movements at Stafford Street through median reconstruction, creating a left-in/left-out intersection arrangement Reduce the likelihood of vehicles crossing multiple high-speed traffic lanes on Parker Street Improve traffic efficiency by extending right-turn lanes into Jamison Road and Derby Street using the existing Stafford Street right-turn bays Enhance driver awareness and compliance through the installation of new regulatory and directional signage Upgrade drainage, pavement, median infrastructure and associated roadworks to meet current Transport for NSW standards Deliver a safer and more reliable transport network for motorists while minimising future crash occurrences at this location Scope The scope includes: Drainage works at the Parker Street and Stafford Street intersection Pavement works at the Parker Street and Stafford Street intersection Median construction works, including reconstruction to create a left-in/left-out intersection arrangement at Stafford Street Extension of right-turn lanes into Jamison Road and Derby Street using the existing Stafford Street right-turn bays Installation of new regulatory and directional signage Contractor Requirements Transport for NSW prequalification F1 (Financial) Transport for NSW prequalification R2 (Roadworks) Enquiries Primary contact: Vladimir Khlopovskikh, Procurement.Services.Sydney@transport.nsw.gov.au
