About this tender

The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (Powerhouse) seeks Requests for Quote (RFQ) for the delivery of exhibition fit out services for the Powerhouse Parramatta opening exhibitions. Project goals: Powerhouse is producing Task Eternal, the largest exhibition for the opening of Powerhouse Parramatta in late 2026. Powerhouse seeks to engage a suitably qualified supplier or suppliers to undertake design development, supply, manufacture/fabricate fit-out elements to house exhibition collection objects and commissions. The service requirement includes: Pre-production and briefing with Powerhouse’s Technical Production team and Design and Collections team. Prototyping/testing. Samples, prototype, finishes sign off by Powerhouse at specified hold points. Design development. Shop Drawings & 2 x Powerhouse review cycles Construction, fabrication and/or supply of furniture, fixtures and equipment. Supply and installation of fabricated elements. Documentation to enable the Powerhouse to deconstruct or remove the elements at the end of the exhibition. Submission of final designs for sign off by Powerhouse teams and/or stakeholder(s). Scope: The scope of works includes the following item: Exhibition Showcase The supply and installation of a showcase for an exhibition scene for Task Eternal as per the drawing package at Attachment A, (to be issued following execution of a signed NDA) including: supply and installation of an exhibition showcase for an exhibition scene for Task Eternal any associated engineering or structural certification Shop drawing production & 2 x Powerhouse review cycles. In person review by Powerhouse teams for design & technical. delivery and installation at Powerhouse Parramatta provision of install and deinstall documentation adherence to Conservation requirements as detailed on the plan All elements must be delivered by September 2026. Execution of Powerhouse Confidentiality Declaration As a condition of this Request for Quote, interested respondents are required to execute Powerhouse’s Confidentiality Declaration prior to the release of detailed RFQ materials. Powerhouse has provided the confidentiality declaration in this requirement for interested respondents. RFQ documentation will be issued only upon receipt and verification of a duly executed declaration. Failure to return the signed declaration will preclude the interested respondent from receiving the RFQ information or participating further in the process. Due to project time constraints, no extension of time will be provided for the RFQ period. Interested respondents are therefore strongly encouraged to complete and return the declaration as soon as possible to ensure they are able to participate within the required timeframe.
