Salary Packaging Services

Overview The Commonwealth of Australia, represented by the Department of Defence, intends to establish a Deed of Agreement for Salary Packaging Services. This is a Pre-Market Notice; no responses are required at this stage. Purpose Defence employees are entitled to salary packaging arrangements as part of their conditions of employment, and Defence is required to administer and facilitate access to compliant arrangements. Scope The scope includes: Provision of salary packaging services to Defence employees under a Deed of Agreement Instructions to Tenderers A Request for Tender (RFT) for the Deed of Agreement for Salary Packaging Services is anticipated to be released on AusTender in late-September 2026, or shortly thereafter. Defence intends to establish the Deed of Agreement for Salary Packaging Services with a single provider. This arrangement is in line with Defence's payroll processing constraints, which currently only allow for integration with one salary packaging administrator. No responses are required to this notice. Instructions for responding to the RFT will be provided in the RFT documentation released on AusTender.
