Supply and Delivery of Pre-Mixed Concrete

Overview Ballina Shire Council is inviting submissions for the supply and delivery of pre-mixed concrete for the period 1 January 2027 to 30 October 2029, with the possibility of a further 2 x 12 month extensions, solely at Council's discretion. Purpose Council's objective is to compile a list of "Approved Suppliers" offering pre-mixed concrete to Council, at certain fixed prices for the stated period. Scope The scope includes: Supply and delivery of pre-mixed concrete to Council as required during the contract period Manufacture and supply of concrete in accordance with R53, TfNSW 3211, TfNSW 3201 and TfNSW 3222 standards (unless noted otherwise) and supplied per Australian Standard AS 4911 and AS1379 Provision of required delivery documentation to support invoiced services Contractor Requirements Tenderers are required to quote fixed rates per metre for the range of products available from the batching plant A Tenderer must have facilities for accurate weighing and determination of load size Any waiting time added to the order docket by suppliers must be acknowledged on all copies of delivery dockets by a Ballina Shire Council representative on site Contract Terms and Conditions Contract period: 1 January 2027 to 30 October 2029, with the possibility of a further 2 x 12 month extensions, solely at Council's discretion During the contract period, as materials are required, a supplier from the Approved Suppliers list will be contacted regarding availability of materials; if the materials are available within the stated timeframe, Council will engage the supplier to deliver under a standing purchase order number Members of the panel are given no guarantee as to level of work; works will be allocated subject to Council's requirements Where availability is a critical issue and members of the register are unable to undertake specific works within a stated time period, Council reserves the right to engage other suppliers as required Council reserves the right to sample any load supplied under this specification and submit same for testing at an N.A.T.A. registered laboratory Council applies the right to recoup costs when the supplier is more than 30 minutes late; this only applies to orders placed and confirmed 24 hours prior to delivery and does not apply to work booked and confirmed on the day
