Overview Destination NSW is seeking the services of a Contractor to undertake the role of Ticketing Manager for Vivid Sydney 2027, 2028 and 2029. The Role Reports to: Head of Cultural Engagement and Commercial Operations (or equivalent) Positions reporting to this role: Nil Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ticketing Strategy & Delivery Lead the end-to-end ticketing strategy and operations for Vivid Sydney paid events and experiences, from event setup and on-sale through to event delivery, settlement and post-event reporting Manage relationships with ticketing providers, venues, event owners and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient ticketing delivery and a high-quality customer experience Collaborate with the Head of Cultural Engagement and Commercial Operations, Festival Director, Programming team and DNSW Marketing and Communications to develop pricing strategies aligned with commercial objectives and audience development goals Configure and oversee ticketing systems, including event builds, pricing structures, ticket types, seating plans, allocations, holds, complimentary tickets, releases, access controls and promotional offers Monitor ticket sales performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities to maximise attendance, revenue and yield Ensure ticketing practices comply with financial controls, accessibility requirements, consumer legislation, fraud prevention measures and privacy obligations Manage ticketing reconciliations, box office settlements and final reporting with ticketing partners, venues and finance teams Paid Marketing & Ticket Sales Support Collaborate with DNSW Marketing and Communications and Programming teams to support the development and optimisation of paid marketing campaigns that increase ticket sales and audience engagement Provide ticketing insights, inventory updates and sales performance information to inform Marketing campaign targeting, messaging, budget allocation and optimisation Ensure ticketing pages, booking links, promotional codes and campaign tracking are accurately configured to support analysis and reporting Identify opportunities to improve the customer purchase journey through landing page optimisation, messaging enhancements and functional testing Develop and coordinate ticket-led campaigns, offers and promotional initiatives to stimulate demand throughout the festival lifecycle Coordinate with Destination NSW Marketing and Communications teams to align campaign deliverables, timelines and stakeholder requirements Support event owners with onboarding to the Vivid Sydney CRM and ticketing systems, ensuring accurate event information and marketing assets are supplied Support the marketing team in the coordination, creation, management and distribution of ticketing collateral, digital content, social media assets and website imagery, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with campaign objectives Work with the marketing team to identify and coordinate promotional opportunities with media outlets, industry organisations and partners, including ticket giveaways, newsletter placements and cooperative marketing initiatives Assist the marketing team in delivering broader promotional activities for ticketed events, including advertising campaigns, travel partnerships and other audience development initiatives Reporting & Insights Produce regular and ad hoc reporting on ticket sales, revenue, attendance, conversion rates, campaign performance and sales channels Monitor and analyse ticketing and marketing performance and campaign outcomes to inform pricing strategies, campaign decisions and audience development initiatives Contribute to post-event evaluation by documenting outcomes, insights and recommendations to improve future festival ticketing and marketing performance Customer Service & Box Office Operations Manage ticketing and box office operations across the Vivid Sydney program, acting as the key liaison between event owners, ticketing providers, venues and customers Coordinate ticketing builds for internally produced events, including reserved seating and general admission events, managing relationships with Vivid Sydney's preferred ticketing provider and contracted venue ticketing agencies Oversee onsite ticketing delivery and box office operations for Vivid Sydney-produced events, ensuring an efficient and welcoming audience experience Train, brief and supervise ticketing staff, volunteers and contractors to maintain consistent customer service standards Manage complimentary ticket allocations, guest lists, VIP allocations and ticket distribution across the festival, liaising with DNSW management, Vivid teams, partners, venues and stakeholders Coordinate daily sales reporting and provide timely operational updates to internal teams Respond to customer enquiries relating to ticketing, event information, exchanges, refunds and accessibility requirements Supervise Ticketing Assistants and other support staff as required Stakeholder Engagement Maintain effective relationships with ticketing providers, venues, industry organisations, tourism stakeholders and event partners to support festival objectives Contribute to industry engagement initiatives and collaborate with Destination NSW teams to strengthen relationships with tour operators and the broader visitor economy General Provide onsite operational support during festival bump-in, event delivery and bump-out periods Support the collection of post-event reporting and evaluation materials from third-party event owners in collaboration with Destination NSW Research teams Undertake other duties consistent with the role to
