The Northern Territory Government is committed to providing high quality Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities for secondary students that support improved engagement, successful transitions, and pathways into employment, further education and training. The VET in Schools Program 2027 aims to support the delivery of nationally recognised training that is aligned to industry demand, government priorities, and the future workforce needs of the Territory. Through this grant opportunity, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are invited to apply to deliver accessible, inclusive and high-quality training programs that equip students with practical skills, industry exposure and meaningful career pathways, while strengthening outcomes for regional, remote and First Nations students across the Northern Territory. What can be funded The Department of Education and Training funds Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to deliver Vocational Education and Training for Secondary Students (VETfSS) across the Northern Territory (NT). Funding is provided for courses that align with current and emerging labour market needs and lead to recognised occupational outcomes. VET is a key component of secondary education, supporting students to gain industry-relevant skills and access pathways to further training, education and employment.
