Youth Vibe Holiday Grants are available for activities and events hosted during the September-October, December-January and June-July school holidays, aiming to fund a wide range of events and activities for young people, their families and the wider community throughout the Northern Territory. The Youth Vibe Holiday Grants are delivered by the Office of Youth Affairs, a business unit within the Department of People, Sport and Culture. OYA works with young people, communities and organisations across the Northern Territory to support wellbeing, participation in events and activities, and to ensure young people have a strong voice in decisions that affect their lives. We aim to foster a vibrant and diverse youth sector that contributes to a Northern Territory where young people are safe, healthy and happy, and given the opportunity to thrive. We coordinate youth programs and administer grants for young people aged between 12 and 25 years with the aim of: improving their personal wellbeing, promoting their positive achievements, and assisting them to reach their goals; providing them with positive recreational and developmental opportunities and helping them to keep informed and actively involved in their communities; and developing effective communication links between young people, the youth sector, the Northern Territory Government, and the wider community. Available funding Up to $2,000 per school holiday period, or up to $6,000 for the combined holiday periods. Available to groups and organisations. Individuals are not eligible to apply for Youth Vibe Holiday Grants. What can be funded Exciting and creative ideas which provide safe and secure entertainment opportunities, provide youth-friendly engagement, and involve young people at all levels, needs, locations, and connection with culture. Programs which encourage the development of skills and attributes such as self-esteem, cooperation and trust, employability, practical life skills, or upskilling in a chosen recreational activity. Travel costs, for travel within the Northern Territory only, associated with an event/activity but must not be the sole purpose for the requested funding (your application must include other reasons for funding). Wages or salaries for course providers (e.g. instructors) up to 50% of the total request amount of the grant, only if required for the facilitation of an event or activity. This does not include wages or salary paid to your organisation’s staff during usual core business hours and must relate to the program or event. There is flexibility for the delegate to consider funding multiple applications to one organisation in the same school holiday period in various locations within the Northern Territory. There is also flexibility for the delegate to consider providing financial assistance for applications beyond the grant round’s scope to meet school holiday needs and requests. What can't be funded Organisations, community groups and individuals outside of the Northern Territory, unless the activity directly benefits young Territorians. A strong tender response is clear, compliant, and backed by evidence. These steps apply to most Australian and New Zealand public tenders.
Open the official listing and download the full tender pack. Note the response schedules, evaluation criteria, mandatory conditions, and the exact closing time and lodgement method.
Check licences, insurances, certifications, and any conformance requirements before you commit. A quick bid or no-bid decision saves days of wasted effort on a tender you cannot win.
Respond to each evaluation criterion directly and back your claims with concrete examples, referees, and past performance. Address the buyer’s stated need, not a generic capability statement.
Submit through the source portal well before the deadline. Late or incorrectly lodged bids are almost always rejected, so leave time for uploads, portal errors, and last-minute questions.
